Bowfin a.k.a Dogfish (April-October)
You might laugh, but I cannot think of a harder fighting inland fish in SW Michigan than a dogfish. If you are a catch and release fisherperson, this trip is laid back with moments of enjoyable chaos. We also have caught some very nice bass, pike, and walleye as incidental catches during these trips as well. Activity is not guaranteed because after all it is fishing, but these trips typically result in action. Bowfin trips are slightly discounted from typical trips because they require less fuel, less fish cleaning time, and the bowfin bite is typically limited to a more specific time frame. This is usually the last couple hours of daylight. Additional time can be added at $50/hour.
Hunting
For all hunting trips, I feel as though it is important to stress that all hunts are public land. In addition, these hunts are not trophy hunts, but are complete experiences that few people get to experience. Success is not guaranteed but any success is earned. All multiple-day hunts are considered “backcountry” and will require the hunter to sleep overnight in the forest with few amenities.
2023 Turkey Float Hunt
Dates vary depending on year. 2-day hunt per person. Person may book multiple 2 day trips if time allows. $900. Maximum 2 hunters per trip. Second hunter is $500. Rate includes; boat, guide, gun if needed, field dressing, 3 meals/day, and snack. Camping gear included; tents, sleeping pads, and cooking equipment. Client needs to provide their own sleeping bag. Transportation by vehicle may be added at an additional cost if needed. Deposit required to hold dates.

- This hunt unit would cover most of Southwest Michigan
2022 Deer Float Hunt
Firearm Deer November 15-30 OR Muzzleloader (Dates vary depending on year). $1,000. Maximum two hunters per trip. Second hunter is $700. Rate includes; boat, guide, gun if needed, deer quartering and caping, food, and snacks. Deposit required to hold dates. 2-day hunts.
Camping gear included; tents, sleeping pads, and cooking equipment. Client needs to provide their own sleeping bag. Transportation by vehicle may be added at an additional cost if needed.
*Hunters will need a valid deer hunting license. This includes; a firearm deer license, combination deer license, or universal antlerless license.
Small Game Camp
(December 1 to March 1)
2-day or 3-day hunts. $350 per day. Maximum 2 hunters per trip. Second hunter $150/day. Deposit required to hold dates.
Focus would be a combined squirrel, rabbit, and possible grouse hunt depending on area. These overnight hunts are based at a more traditional base camp with more amenities than a typical backcountry hunting experience. If a hunter prefers backcountry, please contact for a quote. If the snow is deep enough, snowshoes are also included.
